Twitterが、傘下の動画ストリーミングアプリPeriscopeの提供を2021年3月で終了すると発表しました。Periscopeの機能は、Twitterアプリ統合のTwitter Live機能が引き継ぎます。

Twitterは、Periscopeアプリ終了の理由を「過去数年間、使用量が減少しており、アプリをサポートするためのコストが日に日に上昇し続けるため」としました。
